Anal Fistulotomy
Anal Fistulotomy involves surgical removal of a fistula, which is a small tunnel leading from the anal canal to a hole in the skin near the anus.
- Local or general anesthesia may be used
- Procedure is performed using a scope inserted into the anus
- Surgeon will make a cut through one side of the fistula, allowing it to drain and heal from the inside out
